Spanish is one of three languages that are all considered beautiful and are collectively called Romance Languages.
“Hi, I’m Cristina.
I am a very social person and I love the work with other people. During my work in Alhambra Instituto I feel “like a fish in water.”
Just after I finished Psychology at University in Málaga I joined the family of Alhambra Instituto, teaching and then also taking charge of receiving and saying good bye at the airport to all of these students who take our service of pick up and transfer.
I love the work as a teacher but also the other part of my activities at school- picking up and dropping off. Why? Because I’m the first person who gets to know the students. I show them Málaga, I meet their first thoughts and doubts, and when I drop them off at the airport I realize how much the students have learned and improved. I can listen to their stories, experiences and feelings about Spain, Andalusia, Málaga, cultures, people at school, other students and their roommates.
Something that excites me is when I see the name of a student that I already know from his or her first stay in Alhambra Instituto. It always means that we made the student feel comfortable and for that reason students want to come back and participate in other courses at the Alhambra Instituto. Our main goal is to make you feel comfortable here and feel like you are home – a place where you can return to any time!
Doing this work I discovered a different Málaga; The trips have made me notice the beautiful architecture, parks and trees in a completely new way – it’s a very unique and special experience.”
